From our in-house workshop

Having our workshops within the gallery means we can offer a full service from simple jewellery repairs to remaking a much loved piece that needs new life. Quite often we are asked to take a collection of either old, broken, unworn or inherited jewellery to melt down and redesign into a new piece or a suite of jewellery.

We are self confessed ‘gem-aholics’ and our love of coloured gem stone and diamond set pieces plays a big part in the pieces we make in-house. We always like to show off our loose gemstones and normally have a selection on display which can be purchased, designed and made into your next favourite piece to wear.

Lead by owner Jo Kelsey – who has been selected by the Professional Jeweller as one of only 20 retail stars in the 2016 UK Hot 100 – our craftsmanship is highly sought after and have designed and the team has produced commissions for clients from a few hundred pounds up to £50,000 and beyond.

We were commissioned to reproduce the famous Jane Austen turquoise ring by the Jane Austen House Museum – complete with the word ‘Chawton’ laser engraved on the inside in Jane’s handwriting. As the only jeweller in the world with permission to reproduce the piece, Jo had the once-in-a-lifetime chance to handle the original ring when she was making notes for the reproduction.

Another strong line for us is diamond sales, whether they take the form of engagement rings, classic stud earrings or investment stones. With long-established connections within the diamond industry, we can help with any diamond enquiry – we strongly feel that you should be able buy diamonds at competitive prices, with the reassurance of our experience as certified diamond specialists.
